Coming soon: Jingdezhen porcelain, by Lanyin

We stopped by Jingdezhen, the world’s porcelain capital, and met Minyi, the maker behind Lanyin.

We fell in love with their products. They’re everyday tableware, minimalist and yet, when you look closely, we see the intricate patterns that tells a cultural story.

About 缘起

Things that hold a story.

Celadon Eave is a curation of China's finest craft—furniture, ceramics, and textiles—for those who want their home to hold something meaningful.

We traverse across mountains and factories of China, interview artisans and independent makers, and find beautiful objects yet to be discovered in the world.

And through these products, we tell China’s craft story to the world.

Craftsmanship passed down from thousand years

Designs from the past is integrated with modern design and technology.

Porcelain produced in Jingdezhen has a high bar for quality and design. They’re fired at around 1300°C, hot enough that the clay itself vitrifies into a dense, glass-like body that resists stains and odors. And even though they look delicate, they don’t chip easily (dishwasher and microwave safe is always a plus).

It's the same technique the kilns of Jingdezhen have been perfecting for a thousand years.

We don't sell what we haven't seen made.

We believe in honesty in materials, craftsmanship and sustainability. We visit the workshop, sat down with the founders (over tea), and partner with products we trust.
